Ivy League Haircut

I

ihl

Hey guys I have 2 questions:

(1)

Does anybody know of any pictures of an Ivy League Hairstyle. There are very few pictures on the internet. If you can provide a website that has some pictures, or any books that might have pictures.

Thanks.

What follows next is a description of an Ivy League Haircut:

Ivy League Cut, or "Princeton", cut short and tapered at the back and sides and cut close (about ¼ inch) across the crown of the head, but getting a little longer (up to 1.5 inches) at the front of the head. It provides a little more flexibility in terms of styling while still having a crisp "buzzed" appearance. Enough hair is left to part and comb neatly. This haircut conforms to the shape of the head and the emphasis is on neatness.

(2)

Could someone recommend a barber in Vancouver (BC) or the Lower Mainland who can cut really good hair.

Thanks Guys

Google Kirk Douglas/Spartacus. Hit images

In that movie I believe he has the type of haircut you are talking about.

How I remembered this is beyond me.

Seems to be lots of stuff on the net on Ivy League haircuts, including lots of photos. Run Google search for "ivy league haircut," regular and in images.

I really like the ivy league or collegiate cut. I think my hair might do like anderson cooper's does. With a slight wave.

Where would a man get such a cut? The salon? Or barber shop?

Barber shop...although I am sure a Salon would do it too. Just returned to the barber for the first time in about 10 years and had an Ivy league cut too.

According to the web, the Ivy League--I had never heard that term but definitely had heard of collegiate haircut--is very fashionable these days. I know that will probably surprise some of you, who, like me, have had the same haircut since they graduated from high school when dinosaurs still roamed the earth!

Never heard the term before - not even when I was an Ivy Leaguer.

Looking at the photos though, I guess that's the kind of cut I have - come to think of it, that's probably the only reason they let me in... :wink2:

I heard about them a year or so ago. I was travelling on business, and decided that I needed to get a haircut before I got home. So I asked around an found a local barber, and droped in. The barber was a great guy who told me that he was the area "king of the princeton" the other three barbers agreed and sent me over to his chair. He told me the whole story about how he got started doing the princeton haricut, and was supprised that I did not know its name. I confessed that I have been going to the same barber since I needed the booster seat. I just walked in and Ed cut my hair. We have never had any more conversation about my haircut than "looks good" or "a little more off the top please". He just laughed and said that I sounded like most of his regular customers.
