I have to say that I like the grain and pattern of ivory on your brush MUCH better.
How much did those brushes go for back in the 80s? I also think the "Holy Grail" is a much nicer brush than the other one.
I prefer resin. 
What is this discussion about? "Ivory Simpson" doesn't mean anything to me.
It concerns a shaving brush made by A. Simpson, UK for Geo F. Trumper, London. This brush has a genuine elephant ivory handle and a silvertip/super badger loft. Pretty rare, very expensive, very desirable... (for some at least...
).
I was tracking that auction to see the final sales price. I showed my wife the brush but couldn't make an adquate argument (at least in her mind) as to why I really needed to have that brush.
