I've ordered a slant but I'm a bit stuck on the idea of blades. With my futur I find Derby's and Gillette greens (Russian) work the best for me would it be similar with a slant do you reckon? Or would I be better with a different blade? What are peoples experience with this or similar situations where they have changed razors

All blades which are nice to me in other razors get much nicer in the slant. My favs for the slant so far are the 7 O'Clock Indian permasharp (greens) and the 7 O'Clock Super Platinum (Blacks). They give me 10 and 15 smooth shaves respectively.
My favorite blades are Feathers in my slants, and I get up too 18 shaves out of a feather in the slants *that was my record* and I only change them out once I get pulling!

Well I tried out my slant using Gillette 7 O clock greens (Russian) which work wonderfully in my futur but in the slant I got pretty bad razor burn might have to try it with feathers

Make sure the blade is properly aligned in the slant, it's not always obvious that it is. f you just screw the head down without checking the blade is probably in crooked. There's a thread out there somewhere with pictures that are helpful.
