Does any mod want to bestow a worthy title on this student of both the law and shaving (who, because of both, will be living at home paying off student debt until his mid 30's) ?

Precisely, customs titles happen when you or really any of us expect them. Now normally this means they do not occur when you ask for them, unless of course, the mods want to throw you for a loop and end up giving you despite your apparent attempts not to get one. Of course it could also because because you wanted one and they wanted to throw those who say they want one, but don't and are saying so just to avoid a custom title for a loop.

Are you still with me? Good because it gets more or less complex from here depending on you view such things. Now if it's the former case, this probably won't happen again unless the there's an alignment of the planets or if the mods again feel like doing so, but in all likelihood neither will occur during your lifetime making such issues none of your concern, unless they get to you and turn you into a mod. The likelihood of which we'll discuss at a later date not of my own choosing.

Now the latter is much like the former, except the mods may or may not continue to sporadically give out custom titles to those who do or do not desire one but ask regardless of their feelings toward a custom title in order to both impose a sense of order and to confuse you. That and it instill fear into the hearts of all or something like. So you see it all make sense, right?

The moral of the story is don't ever try to make sense to custom titles because although there may be some, there is none. That and always wear clean underwear.

Matt, this is why I like you, or is this why I don't like you....Either way, the logically backward side of the mods' actions makes sense of their thwarted facade. It's the nonsensical explanation that is, in the end, the most logical reasoning, despite our own self-proclaimed understanding. The logic of the mods plays to our curiosity, which only makes us more curious and their actions less logical according to our understanding, which, in turn, makes us more curious all over again.
