What's new

It's Here! It's Finally Here! No. 6 made it from Turkey!

Yaay! My super deluxe Turkish No. 6 horse hair brush just arrived from Turkey after about 5 weeks! I have to say that it is a pretty nice brush. Yes the handle feels a bit rough to the touch, but the knot looks great. I'm really looking forward to trying this one out. Grow faster, beard!

It feels stiffer than my Semogue brush but the ends feel softer. I think I am going to like this one. I'm thinking about ordering a few more and mothballing them now.

The 6 is a great brush, one of my favorites.I just got a #7 and a #1 from bestshave. The 1 is huge , springy and soft tipped, a wonderful brush! The 7 has a less dense knot than the 6 and i was a bit disappointed in it but still a good brush overall. You can't beat the prices either, the #1 is 8.50

You may have figured this out already, but shampoo/condition the brush before you use it then make a lather and leave it in the brush for 30 min, should make the smell bearable.

I use both the #6 & #7 brushes in my rotation and love them. The #6 eats soaps and performs way above its pay grade. Enjoy your brush!

It depends on how sensitive you are, my nose wouldn't allow the #6 near my face until it had at least a half dozen lathers break through the funk. The #7 came already de-funked with a slight soap scent, but I prefer the feel and heft of the #6.
