Sadly, it sounds like the shipper is jerking him around, and with most of the country on holiday, he won't likely get any satisfaction until next month. Kudos to him for keeping up the fight, though!

I've tried for months and its always delayed. Then, I finally ordered decants, and discovered I liked the Spanish "vigarosa" better than the Italian Blue.

Alas, now the Spanish stuff is "on order". You can't win with this stuff!!

What would you guys recommend, Spanish or Italian? I understand that Spanish is the original, but that Italian bottle is so cool looking! Is there much of a difference?

The Spanish Floïds smell a little too sweet on me, for my tastes--both have the same scent, just with different amounts of menthol. The Italian Floïds both smell better to me (different from the Spanish), though I prefer the blue over "The Genuine."

Superlather has decants still of three of the four. Given the expense and limited availability, I'd order some decants to sample them for yourself. You could even get away with only getting one of the Spanish Floïds, since they both smell the same.

I don't think it's Spanish or Italian. I was in Italy this summer and almost all of the barber shops and some profumerias have the orange/yellow colored Floid, only 1 shop had the blue one.

To me, the Spanish version has more of a scent. I'm not too great at describing scents, but I'd say it has leathery notes. I also detect more menthol in the "vigarosa" than in the Italian Blue.
Of course, the real B&B guy would simply buy them both! Seriously, your best bet is to order the decants. I kept trying to avoid this as I'm chintzy and avoid shipping charges like the plague. The money saved in avoiding blind buys more than makes up for it.

So does the Floid Blue smell like Aqua velva? I don't care for the smell of AV with the exception of Musk/Ice Sport.. Was thinking about ordering a 400ml bottle of Floid Blue but was curious what it smells like....

I like to rotate both of them. Depends on the mood. I like them a lot. But, I can't find any either! That shipping bites.
