Issue with Henson QC - Need Advice

I will tell you: my Henson +++ has a horrible finish, I complained to the seller who is just about making a quick buck.
Then I emailed Henson in Ca, and they said : that is they way they look..... I then said: I wanted a refunds and was going to send it back...
Well there was 0 customer support, both the seller and the manufacturer don't care at all, I will never buy from either again.

And then, there is Leaf razor: with the BEST customer service!!!

Maybe if you buy from Amazon, then you could return as defective???? No clue.

Good luck.
What was the actual issue with the finish?
Any photos?

Since Henson is aluminum and not a "polished finish", there are detectable machining finish lines (graining) in the top cap and baseplate. After the parts are anodized, they will still have some "machining finish" show through the anodized color finish. It is a minor issue for most people, since it does not affect the shave or service life of the razor. Many stainless steel razors on the market have machining lines, unless they have been thoroughly polished to a shiny or mirror finish...which is very time consuming and raises the cost of the product. You will always see machining lines (if you look hard enough) when purchasing a "machine finish" razor (either CMC or Manual production). Razors with "injection molded" parts will not have these finish lines (typically zamac and chrome plated razors).

But this was their titanium razor, not AL

Sorry for the confusion. My reply was for Filudo who described what I assumed was the AL13+++. Many people have complained about the AL13 finish and returned their razors for that reason. IMHO, some of the returns were justified, but many were not. The Ti22 razor in this thread had an obvious defect with the edge, and I am very happy that Henson is resolving that situation. My Ti22+++ is a V1 with brass threads (S/N 063), and the finish and workmanship is very high for a lightly polished machine finish (Zero defects). None of the Henson's come with a "Wolfman style" mirror finish. My 8 AL13 razors arrived in perfect condition.

The fact that Henson looked at that pic, acknowledged the defect, and said QC would pass it through as you can't see it when the razor is assembled, and doesn't affect blade alignment tells you all you need to know about Henson...
