isards pate rasoir

As any one used the isards pate rasoir and if so how do you rate it ? I have some on the way i use cronium oxide and i have .5 dp a chap recomended it to me and says he uses it and it keeps is razors going he only needs to hone once a year 7 day set that is not just one razor.

Works better on harder steels like the TIs and Le Grelots and some of the american razors like Robeson. Doesn't work terribly well on sheffields.

I do have some ti's the chap i spoke to uses it on dovo tortoise specials softer steel.
Hows it compare to cr.5 and .5 dp. Is it more agressive.

Yes it's more aggressive than the 0.5 micron pastes. It's roughly 1 micron, and includes diamond and I think aluminum oxide. Apply it sparsely - a little goes a long way.

Just got the paste and poped it on cotton side of my tm strop went on easily. Stroped my silver wing on paste 20 times. razor was shave ready after coti honing. The paste worked very will differancebeing more glide and even smoother recomend it for the price and availability i followed up with ch.5 on livi loom and great combination.
