Is this W&B worth restoring?

Being somewhat new to straight razors I was wondering if this blade was worth having honed and scaled or should I move onto another project. It seems to have some excessive hone wear towards the toe on one side.....thoughts?

Sure, why not? It does has excessive toe hone wear, but other than that it would clean up nice.

This blade looks better than some of my everyday shavers!!!

The blade is in very good condition. I would have no qualms about restoring it, but personally I would use it as is.

the toe wear isnt too bad at all. it looks (though it may just be the picture) to not be too excessive, but just that the steel curves down a little there, this being worn more.

just polish her up and off you go (i wouldnt take sandpaper to it, else you would lose those awesome original grind marks)

She does'nt look 100% straight., It may be the pics but the toe is more worn on the mark side but the heel seems more worn on the pile side. Nonetheless not a lot of razors are dead straight. A bit of judicious X pattern honing should see you thru. The edge looks fairly sound.

I've had worse looking blades shaving me very well.
That blade is no trouble for an experienced honer.

Agreed, well worth restoring. Chances are it may out last you.

Hone it up (or have it honed). I sure she will make a great shaver. Enjoy.

Sizable bevel, but there seems to be enough there to sharpen up nicely. I have razors with more wear that shave just fine. Give it a go:001_smile
