Is this the right case for a Super Speed

Hi guys,

I'm still learning about the various Gillette Super Speed models. I threw out a bid and ended up being the only bidder on this black handled flare tip.

Is that the correct case? How would this razor compare to my 53 SS in terms of gentleness of the shave?

no, that's a case for a 1920 gillette NEW. Black handled superspeeds came in either a solid plastic flip top case like the last of the 60s flare tips, or just in a cardboard/plastic blister pack.
But for $4 you got a good deal, you could keep the case for when you find a loose NEW (I high recommend them over a superspeed anyway), and you got a superspeed (which often doesn't come in a case at all anyway)

I think its a New???? Maybe I could have swapped the cases. It is probably the incorrect case for my new SS anyway.
