I picked this up in a little antique shop in a very small town in Florida over the weekend. I asked the clerk how much she wanted for it and the price was 20 bucks so I gave a concerned look and said really and put it back down, she then said will you give me 10 for it and I gladly handed the 10 bucks over and took it home. It seems to be in very good condition with little to no plate loss, and it shaves like a dream.

Jackpot! That's the only Rhodium-plated US Gillette razor and very hard to find - trust me!

Looks like others have already identified this one for you and I'd have been no help to you on that point anyways. But, I must say, excellent negotiation skills!!! It's not something that everybody can do well. It is a fine art and you seem to be quite adept. Nice work and a great looking razor.

How do you know the Aristocrat is a 1934? By the blade dates? The 30's Aristocrats were not date coded therefore cannot be identified to exact year without original date coded blade pack.

Seems like people on here just call this model the 1934 Aristocrat, regardless of it's exact age.

The, the 1934 Aristocrat... it was the Aristocrat that was introduced in 1934 and lasted up until 1941 or so. There are so many Aristocrats...
It is most commonly referred to as the 30's Style Aristocrat. Ray most likely had his dated as the '34 based upon the blades which do have date codes.
