What's new

Is this OK?

Just received my Simpson duke2 in best and was a bit surprised that the Simpson logo was at the bottom of the handle. Is this normal? The stock photo looks different.

I've never seen that either... on my brushes or on any pics online. Maybe one of the true Simsponaphiles will chime in and confirm that it is in fact a labeling error.

Strange, if it truly bothers you though contact vulfix and they will ship you some new labels for free. You can then put them wherever you want.

Wonderful looking brush nonetheless..... Appears the "sticker" part of the assembly process might have had a late afternoon at the Pub prior to putting the finishing touches on your package. I think the brush itself looks fantastic and wouldn't change a thing about it.

If you use a brush stand the label will last a lot longer. The side affixed labels wear away from contact with from hands is use. If you don't use a stand then it may wear away from contact with sink or cabinet. I like the bottom labels since I am a stand user.

I got this same brush about a month ago. Weird your label is in the wrong spot.

What isn't weird is how friggin' awesome that brush will be for you. ;)

I won't be using a stand because it doesn't fit. Will be returning the brush.

x2. I also like it being on the bottom instead of the side. I'd keep it.

You're actually going to waste the time returning a brush because the Sticker is applied to the wrong spot? Why not just ask Vulfix for a new sticker and put that one in the right spot?

Aside from the label being on the wrong part of the handle, what exactly is wrong with the brush? It looks fine to me. I'd keep it. Might be valuable later on.

I'd like to hear the response from the guy who answers the warranty claim.

"Nigel, come here! it's one of those uber-nerds from B&B again..."

Looks like perhaps the lettering was applied slightly lower than usual on the handle, leaving no place for the sticker without covering the lettering. Interesting. Honestly, something like that would get my attention, too. I'd at least want to ask the vendor if this was a new trend for Simpson, or if this brush was unique amongst his latest lot.

I like the uniqueness of it.
+1, I would definitely keep it as I think the label with stay longer.
Maybe it is a new way for Simpsons to answer criticisms about the label going away.

I wonder if it is a fake.
I imagine this is a genuine Simpsons. I would not imagine counterfeiters making such a nice brush, a perfect counterfeit and making such a huge mistake about where to stick the label.

That is strange. If I were you, I'd contact the vendor to give them the head's up about it and see what he thinks. Aside from that, it's a judgement call on your part concerning the aesthetics of the brush, as long as it's in proper working order.

Personally, I think Simpson brushes look better without the stickers, but the placement on the bottom of the brush is... eh... goofy. I'd just peel the sticker off and enjoy the brush. But I wouldn't blame you if you sent it back for another, or had them send you some stickers to put on yourself. These brushes are expensive, and worth having as advertised if that's what you want.
