This scene has an injured Brody being rescued by Colombians that know Brody's ex lover CIA agent Carrie Matheson, they nurse him back to health and they use a old Redtip to shave his head. In essence since it is set in a 3rd world country Colombia with limited access to modern and current hygiene products, it is viable to use a vintage Gillette.
[In retrospect Gillette did have several Factories in south America]
with that form he should be bleeding to death lol
Was this imposed upon him or was he just unable to shave it himself?
In the Homeland TV show, Ex-CIA informant, Ex marine Brody is suffering from two bullet wounds and is taken by a group of mercenaries in Caracas led by El Niño, who is aware of Brody's identity. Brody is nursed back to health by Esme El Niño's daughter. She shaves Brody since he can not lift his arms due to bullet wounds. [ one of the best TV shows in history]

There is probably no blade in the razor. If there was, it would have removed all the cream on each stroke. Not to mention, the lady looks like she would have cut him up pretty good with that angle.
90% of the time actors dont shave or get shaved. They are prepped with fake facial hairs and the razors just scrape of the painted on type of hairs to make it look real. The producers can not afford to have the actors get nicked or cut while shaving.
