Is this a 40's style Super Speed?

I just snagged this up on ebay. This is my second DE purchase so far. So is this a 40's style super speed or am I wrong? Also how should I expect this razor to perform? Mild/Aggressive?

Yup, looks like a 40s SS! Congrats!

As to how it shaves I would say a touch more aggressive than mild. Don't mean to be circumspect but its very personal. I lovethe 40s SS as a go to, as its perfect for me. I do not find it terribly aggressive, but paired with the right blade they are a good daily shaver. Get it cleaned it up and give it a go with some sample blades and find what you like.

Yes, definitely a '40s style. Very nice razors!!

Regular production of the '40s style ended in 1954 with the introduction of the '50s style flare-tip Super Speed. That makes yours one of the last regular ones.

The '40s style made a final appearance as the TV special in late 1954.

Asylum Guido did a great deal of research and documentation on the various Super Speed razors, as published in his Super Speed Guide.

This one is my favorite of the various Super Speed models. Enjoy!!

Yes this is a 40s style Super Speed, Z-1 makes it a 1954.

That model razor has made millions of faces smile.....enjoy.
