Is there anything special with this razor - 1912 Ever Ready with case

Is there anything special about the 1912 Ever Ready with the bakelite case? I'm not at home right now so I can't put up a pic.
I'm just wondering as I've had a few people ask to purchase it from me. Just looking to see if there's anything speical about it and what a fair price is.
here's no plate loss on the razor. There are some scratches on the head of the razor. It has the decorative handle.
The case is perfect, open and closes no chips missing, still both hinges intact.

Thanks for anyone help...I know nothing about SE razors.

No. Just preferences that people have. But before I go on that's depending on the pic you need to show. Anyway some prefer that year and some like the 1914 or just like to collect a nice hundred year old cased razor. I just sold a 1914. Amazing looking razor & case.

Hmmm...
Does it look like this:

or like this:

if it's the latter, it's a mighty fine razor. Use it with joy!

if it's the former, it's really rubbish and I can take it off your hands.

(the top one is a much coveted Streamline, but I really will take it!)

Without seeing a pic it is hard to say.

I have a nice 1912 Ever Ready (British made) in a brown Bakelite case that you could not pry away from me.

Yes it's the second razor and case exactly. Looks like it's in similar condition as mine. Mine does have some light scratches on the head.

You have a very nice SE razor. Get yourself some blades and enjoy using it.

They are not very expensive. Their real value lies in how well they work as a tool.

If you want to know what it is worth go to eBay and search for closed auctions to see the price of those that sold.

Thanks turtle, I didn't know you could search the closed ebay auctions. I'm not a big fan of SE shaving. In the couple of years I've owned the razor, it was only used 3 times. So I think I'll sell it to someone who will use and enjoy it.

Ebay has made it difficult to search closed auctions. You have to jump through some hoops and dig around but at least they still let people search closed auctions (for how long who knows).

You should have no problems selling your razor on BST and who ever gets it will surely enjoy using it.

I have 3 different variations of the model 1912 and I like and use all of them. Not as often as I would like to but I have too many razors... WHOA... Did I just say that.... 40 lashes with a wet Kent for that remark
