I recently bought a 1912 type Gem Junior razor on eBay and I've noticed that the door just barely doesn't clamp down all the way on one side. It still seems to hold the blade in place just fine and everything but it still bothers me a little and I was wondering if there's anything I could do to fix it?
Is there a way for me to straighten the door on my Gem razor?

It's possibly not fixable.
That's always the risk when we buy a razor that is 90+ years old. The good news is a replacement razor would not be terribly expensive.

Yeah, I was afraid that would probably be the case. It's really a shame because other than that tiny flaw it's a really nice looking razor. I don't like the idea of buying a replacement for a razor I just bought. Since it still works as it should I don't really see a reason for it.
