So we as humans went from using a black flint sharpened stone in the caveman days to a straight razor to do everything from shaving our harry ancestral wives to our beards. This stayed like this for THOUSANDS of years.
Then came along the single edge razor in some form or another in 1845-80. This was greeted with a lukewarm welcome. Three claps at most.
Then came King Camp Gillette with his DE and let's throw in Schick down the line. Now we have the modern razors which didn't take a great leap of imagination to realize maybe two blades were better than one. Then three, four, five and finally six. ( Although the six blade concept had already been invented. Cant find the thread but the razor looks wild. About a year ago a member found one with five blades!) Were do we go from here? Has the evolution of razor blades come to it's end? I believe yes. In terms of bladed razors I see the STYLE changing but not the form. The evolution took only 10,000 but hey, at least the guys are better looking and the gals are too! Viva la rasoir! The end. No really the end.
