Is Arko truly superior to Williams?

That was never my point. But I believe people used Williams for its availability and price point. B&B was never really pro-modern-Williams. Like every other soap that gets discontinued, people get nostalgic after it's gone.

Using a soap for 1 shave and then claiming it's awesome and we should all run out and buy it, is premature. I've seen it too many times to count or remember.

I stand by my post and still believe there are a ton of better soaps out there.

Yes, there are.

But it saddens us all a little to see it go the way of the Dodo.

If Arko becomes "unobtainium" I will walk all the way to the Mackinac Bridge and contemplate my very existence!

I only used Williams for about 1,000 shaves. ARKO is better, though.

If nobody wanted Williams, why was it consistently the best seller on Amazon?

Because it's good for breaking in brushes!

I've only got 8 sticks of Arko and one puck, but I'll be willing to help a friend when the need arises.
