Is AOS Sandleood triple milled--were to buy

Many different opinions have surfaced and there are many opinions as to if AOS Sandlewood is Triple a milled soap.

Further after posting the question which soap to purchase, AOS won hands down.

The least expensive places to purchase that were given were
Frangrencex, strawberry and amazon. Highland mens, (thru amazon) is the cheapest if bought directly thru them, $40. The other 2 were $41 and Fragrencex seems to be the winner with $41/free shipping. Surely there has to be a price available under $39 with shipping. I really would like to purchase this soap. However, at $41 I just have to wait.

Are any of you gentleman aware of a vendor perhaps running even a small sale???????? I'd buy it at $40 if it included shipping and even tried to offer that amount to Highlands Mens Care but was told a supervisor would call me this afternoon. Never called and I actually 8 months ago spent over $400 on a shaving set with them:angry::angry::angry:That sucks. I did dicover that Highland's is not a place to buy anything if customer service is required. The representative could have just said "no, not our policy" instead of acting insulted and making me feel stupid for asking.

Maybe they have enough customers and I'm begining to believe I'm not ment to have this soap.:001_huh::001_

I spent too many years in the service industry. If I had ever been made to feel that way, I'd never shop there again, and make sure that everybody that knew me knew why, too.

Good luck finding the soap, though!

Yup, triple milled.

I went with Starwberrynet, as they were the cheapest by far and offered free shipping. I couldn't beat that deal being in Australia.

There may be local US vendors who offer free postage while having a 2010 sale, unfortunately I don't know of any. :mad3:

$2.00 is keeping you from purchasing the soap? It will drive you crazy until you get some! (It is worth it, IMO.)

The sandalwood is excellent--the best of the AOS soaps in my opinion. It has a rich, warm scent that isn't too strong and the lather is great.

I got an email ad from AOS today that they're having a Sandalwood sale. Some of the sets have a healthy markdown. Unfortunately, cream not soap.

Hope you find one at a good price!

AOS sandalwood is my favorite soap. I don't ever buy wooden bowls with the soap. I buy shaving soap for two reasons: (1) performance and (2) scent. The wooden bowl adds nothing for me, other than cost. I can buy twice as many soaps if I forego the fancy (and for me, overpriced) wooden bowl. I just get a 4 oz plastic tub from sunburst bottle company.

In my opinion, AOS sandalwood is well worth the cost. I don't like their other scents, but AOS is a great performing soap.

Standard retail for AOS soap in the teak bowl is $45. Highland MensCare is charging $40, plus $4.89 shipping. This means three things: (1) They aren't jacking the price up on their products; indeed, they're charging under retail. (2) They aren't compensating by jacking up the price on their shipping; $5 is a reasonable shipping rate. (3) For less than the price it would cost you to buy this soap in a retail store in your area (don't forget - Georgia has 4% sales tax), you can get it delivered to you from an Amazon merchant with a 99% approval rating. I don't suppose the sales rep needed to sound insulted when you asked him to eat the shipping costs on an already discounted product, but honestly, I can't really fault him for it, either.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion!! to be honest, I truly wish that he would of been standing in front of me when he made his comments

Personally I like the bowls, overpriced and unnecessary as they may be. :001_smile
I

Me to also. As I've said in earlier post my dear wife gave me almost all of the bathroom counter space right up to her sink. But her rule is that it doesn't look junky. So "factory" bowls for me. Shes the boss

From my observations, AOS products are very rarely heavily discounted. They seem to have a pretty tight reign on their selected retailers, and probably force them to keep the pricing at or near their MSRP, to protect their premium brand "image"

The cheapest I saw it on Amazon today was $36.00 + 6.45 shipping thru Beauty in Style retailer.

If you are determined to get it cheaper, I'd suggest getting on their email list and wait them out for some sort of coupon. Most of the email sales are for kits, razors and other assorted crap like "aftershave mask" (whatever that is) so it may take a while to get what you want.

Or buy the refill and put it in a generic wooden bowl like THIS
