Irisch Moos in a tube

Is IM cream in a tube anything to get excited about? I see lots of glowing references to IM soap on B&B, making me regret that i never got to try it. I've found some cream in a tube and wondered if it'd resemble the soap at all. Thanks.

I've used the soap but not the cream, so I don't have a real answer for you however I've heard good things about it.

It's a nice cream, though personally, I find the scent to be a little overwhelming compared to the soap. The soap is one of my all-time faves, even though I'm generally more of a cream person.

I have never tried the soap but the cream is awesome. You are obviously going to get varied opinions with YMMV and all that. But it provides a great lather with excellent cushion and slickness. If you don't like it, you can always PIF it or put it on BST. Or save all the hassle and send it to me! :)

+1 ... I used some Irisch Moos cream a few weeks ago, along with the IM ASB, and didn't care for the scent at all. The performance was superb, but I couldn't stand the aroma.

I got my tube a couple of days ago and used it for the first time this evening. I was pleased with how easy it was to lather, how it made a nice, thick, slick lather, and how it gave me a good shave. The scent was strong and I'm not sure how I'd describe it, but I liked it okay. But then I read the ingredients list on the box and saw that the stuff has coloring in it! What in the world does shave soap need coloring for? I wondered about the odd brown color when I squeezed it from the tube. Shave soap should be white. Plus, it has all kinds of many-syllable chemicals whose purpose I have no clue about. I'm a home-made soap maker, and I know how simple soap is and how few ingredients are necessary for making soap (really good soap). So I always wonder what all the extra stuff is for when I read the ingredients list on something as simple as soap. There are lots of products that have ingredients I'm not familiar with that I continue to use because I like how they perform. But I think the coloring in IM is the thing that bugs me the most about it, however silly that might seem. It's just the principle of the thing. It's completely unnecessary. Oh well, I liked the lather it made, and I got a good shave with it. I'll use it up, but I doubt I'll be buying any more when I finish this tube.

I have tried it and its is a decent kind of cream. It is not as concentrated as other creams so feel free to use a bigger dollop than usual. IMO they have added far too much fragrance to it.

I recently acquired the Irisch Moos shaving cream in the 100 ml tube and I have nothing but high praise for it. Our water is soft and I find that I need no more of this cream, than of any other cream I have, to generate plenty of extremely stable lather with excellent cushion and glide. The post-shave moisturizing properties of this cream are, in my opinion, truly wonderful.

The scent of the cream is stronger than and different from the scent of the soap; the cream is sweeter and more woodsy than the soap, I believe. Nevertheless, I'm really enjoying the scent of the cream.

I use soaps nowadays most of the time, however, I will now be using this cream on a regular basis. Needless to say, I have stocked up!

I have 3 tubes of this stuff. I fell I'm love with it on first use and ordered 2 more. I also have the shave balm which is of the same scent.

The cream has a nice strong scent to it and performed wonderfully!

I used this again this morning. In my opinion, it's a truly wonderful cream with really outstanding skin-conditioning properties. I hope that it comes back eventually...
