Irisch Moos After Shave Splash

So, it looks like Irisch Moos after shave splash has finally arrived at a few of our favorite vendors lately.

I had a small decant of it last year, but I cannot remember too much about it.

Is anybody using it? Thoughts?

It's a very good splash...

I'm very grateful it's available generally now - I had the privilege of paying about twice the going rate last year to an importer of German goods.... Because it was so dear I've been reluctant to really get in it, y'know?

Now that it's affordable, I can bathe in it!

One of my favorites. Fresh springtime scent. (Saying it is like Irish Spring soap is selling it short IMO.)

I like their shave stick and just ordered a tube of their shave cream.

To me, it is deeper and not as bright as Irish Spring. I think it should be tried. I was fortunate to buy the deo spray in Germany and use it while I was there. It is certainly more complex a fragrance than Nivea or Gillette or something like that.

I thought I'd bring this one back to life. My daughter came back from a semester abroad in Europe and one of the goodies she had stashed in her bags was a bottle of Irisch Moos Aftershave. When I got up this morning, I gave it a try. Shaved with Irisch Moos soap, then splashed on the aftershave. I'm really impressed!

To my nose, the soap has a bright clean fragrance--not unlike Irish Spring soap, although long-time fans might not agree. The aftershave compliments it perfectly. Not nearly as bright--more of a mossy, coumarin kind of fragrance with a touch of citrus for balance. It would be hard to say which Moos does what, but my face felt great afterward.

I've been using the splash, and I'll tell you that it's one of the better ones for face conditioning. In its effect, it reminds me quite a bit of Aqua Velva, although it does have that plesantly understated fragrance you've described. It's a winner in my book.

I agree--there's something about it that reminds me of Aqua Velva too.

It is one of my most used splashes; herbal, a little weird actually, and a longstayer without being overpowering. Therefore it is a great splash when you shave at night like I mostly do. It doesn't get much use in fall and winter but awesome in spring and the cooler summer days; I buy them in the 150 ml sized bottles.

I just placed an order for the aftershave and deodorant... Have been using "Speick" for several years and it's a great scent...

I got a Irisch Moos shave stick that is heavenly. I can't wait to try the aftershave.

There is an Eau de Toilette too. Smells about the same as the splash, buy obviously, last a little longer.

Got the shave stick and the AS for my Birthday. Love both. The AS when straight on is kinda funky for a few seconds IMHO, it then mellows out to a fresh, new day in the forest kinda scent. Must be good as even SWMBO likes it.
