Interesting Read on Technique

The big difference I noticed there from what I usually read on B&B was the idea that skin should be loosened rather than stretched. I'm not sure how well that would work out.

I think if it was that cheap where I live and so pleasurable I might have it done a few times a week!

I don't know about keeping the skin loose while shaving. My beard tends to grow kind of flat so stretching the skin makes sure that my razor is cutting close. Also I don't think heat is necessary compared to your beard being properly hydrated. I'm a cold water shaver and have been for over a year and haven't encountered any issues.

One thing though, about not-stretching the skin: I suppose that when one is sitting with the head propped back for a shave, some of the skin is tensioned somewhat. More than when standing before a mirror, but less than when was is intentionally pulling with the off hand.
