Rough grinding the hollows...still a lot of work to do before heat treatment.

Drilled some holes this morning, deciding if I want to use 1/4" pin stock or drill some additional 1/8" holes to secure the scales. This project will have to get paused for today due to the fact that I've a more pressing task to do. Next up for this will be tapering the tang (another first for me) and then rounding the edges and sanding the whole blank to 320 grit.

She's not pretty but we're learning! Decided to try the distal taper today and finished a lot of the roughing in. Still not sure if I'm content enough to send it out for heat treat in my next batch, I need to read up some more on straight razor making.

@Yaoshi Unfortunately not, wow I can't believe it's almost been a year. Every since my daughter was born I have not dedicated the time to many of my garage hobbies. No regrets though, I'm having the time of my life with my little one. I'm sure I'll get back into knife making at some point and work on the kamisori.
