Injector Style Straight Razor?

I have a cheap straight razor that uses disposable DE blades. I just got back from the barber, and the shaves from his straight are sooo much nicer. He uses an Injector Style Disposable Straight Razor. Where do I find these and the blades for them? I think he used DOVO blades.

If you can afford the initial buy in I would steer clear of the Dovo and head straight for a Feather Artists Club razor.

Good luck :thumbup1:

We're looking at a 3x cost difference here...$30 to $100. What is so much better about these then to justify that?

I am unsure what you mean by an injector style straight. Was it by chance something like one of these? These are all vintage Weck razors and will take modern hair shaper blades. Vastly superior to DE style shavettes, in my opinion.

Imagine you want to need to build a deck and need to pound 500 16p finish nails by hand since screws look ugly.

Would you go for the 12.99 Homedepot Chinese 16oz fiberglass special, or the 250.00 14oz Stiletto Mini Ti-Bone Aerograde Titanium hammer?

Assuming finances aren't the issue you would need to handle each one to feel the weight, the grip of the handle, etc. or you would ask your Master Carpenter father-in-law which hammer is better.

Now, I'm not your FIL, but my Titanium hammer feels much better than the Chinese one. However they both drive nails equally well.

The Feather is that titanium hammer.
