Injector Blades

There has been a lot of talk lately on trying a group buy on Injector Blades.

Really the only ones available come with the hideous plastic case.... useable only IMHO as reloading into a metal case.
Although they are a good buy at 20/injector.

With that being said and knowing the case is questionable.. is there any interest?

Please remember this is just a fishing expedition here and a group buy has not been set up or sanctioned by the mods.... this is just a question to determine if it is worth pursuing

If you notice.... SE's are Queen to the Straights King....want to convert everybody ( looking straight at Gruder):lol::lol:

I'd be interested in an Injector group but, looks like after storing the SE's that came today (thanks again Brian), I have room for some of the plastic carts. I don't find them as awkward as others, but they are fiddly.

Brian,

You can count me in on the injector group buy. After all, these Ted Pella blades are nice for the money. Who knows how long they'll be available to the public? I think I have a spare metal injector case or two to re-load the blades into. You will have to post the method of re-loading that you have described so we know how it's done.

Thanks,

Shamus

Depending on the price, I could be interested, since I opened my mouth about this in the first place. If it's a good deal, Injector blades are a good thing to stock up on.
Funny how blades that were designed for shaving, so many decades ago, are now used in medicine/science.

1) Has anyone done a video showing how to repack injectors into a metal magazine?

2) ASR appears to have shrunk or weakened the plastic holding the plastic part of the injector to the metal part. That seems to be why they are so poor now.

3) I saw an an archery arrow on ebay that used three injector blades to kill the target (animal)......

I was in for some when it was being discussed in the SE group buy thread. Unfortunately, since then my cousin and I did a buy on 200 (see below) and are splitting it. However, depending on the details of how they are going to be sold, I'll PIF some for a newbie as a thank you to B&B and to my anonymous benefactor that PIFed a box of the SE group buy blades to me (can't wait to get my SE blades!) when my car alternator went out and I was broke.

Brian, check http://www.emsdiasum.com/microscopy/products/preparation/blades.aspx as they have 200 (10 injectors with 20 blades) for $42.00 + shipping. I say check here because I don't see them in bulk from Ted Pella site. All I see there offered is 1 20-blade injector.

$40.00 + tax will get you 220 ASR Injector blades at Fred's. Don't know if they are PTFE coated or not. They shave great so far. They come in packs of 11 blades.

Very good blades but they aren't PTFE (Teflon) coated and Fred's stores are only found in the Southeast.
