What's new

Inherited razors

Hey guys, just thought I'd share my two razors. The Gold Tech belonged to my grandfather (my grandma said she didn't think he used it much. It looks brand new). And the New Improved belonged to my great grandfather. Both shave really well, but definitely a little different. Cant say I like one over the other. I do like the heavier weight of the New Improved though.
Its neat to think that I am shaving exactly how my great grandfather did back in the 20s with the same razor.

Congratulations, they look great, how exciting to shave with your grandfather's razor as well as your great grandfather's razor!

It is great to have things from your grand and great grand fathers.

Use them and enjoy them.

I use my grandfather's Gillette frequently and enjoy it every time I pick it up

A lot of members have razors that have been passed down and that is awesome. My grandfather passed while my father was young and my father is a disposable shaver. Sadly, I will have no blades passed down my way. I hope to pass some to my son but he got all of his genes from my wife. She is 5'3" without a natural growing hair from the eyebrows down. If my son turns out to have her hair growth my shave knowledge and collection will die with me. I'll have to leave it all in a final PIF to B&B in my Will.

That's pretty cool that both of those were passed down to you! I have and use both of those razors frequently. They're definitely keepers! Thanks for sharing!

Wow it is amazing how these razors will outlive us all, and even into the future they can withstand the test of time.

Your grandson may look like you and may love to use grandpa's razors.

Never let those go. Money may get tight, it may seem like it's your only option, but money is just money. Those can't be replaced.

You're a lucky man. You've got something to treasure for the rest of your life.
My father is 87 and shaves with throwaway multiblades. He's too old and set in his ways for me to convert ! lol
