Ingrown hair treatment

After years struggling with ingrowns caused from bad shaves with a cartridge razor, I am now mostly ingrown free. After switching to DE a few weeks ago I have only 1 bad one still lingering from the cartridge days. Over the years I have become pretty good at getting them out but this one is a beast. I can't see the hair under the skin therefore I can't get to it with the tweezers or a needle for removal. I saw that Mantic suggests using a toothbrush to losen the skin but I'm affraid that this one is to deep for that. Regular exfoliating hasn't worked either.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I think if it goes any longer it will be an inch long before I can get it out and don't want it to get infected.

Dermatologist.

I use one of those pointy metal tooth picks to get the bad ones out. Basically scrape the skin, then pinch the area, and pull out the hair with the pick. But I've never done this on one I couldn't see.

Maybe drawing salve would work?
