What's new

Indulgence of the Night - November 2011

Erm, sorry about forgetting to put up one of these for October, gents.. but it looks like all was handled. Had a delightful Chilean Cab Sauv last night, and I'm definitely not a wine person.

What's on tap?

Park Avenue
2 oz New Amsterdam Gin
2 oz ruby grapefruit juice (fresh squeezed preferred)
1 oz Triple Sec liqueur
1/2 lime, squeezed
1 lime wedge

There is already a much older cocktail by the same name so I have to wonder why New Amsterdam chose "Park Avenue". Trying to stay with a NY theme I suppose. Very tasty in any case.

Interesting. Sounds like a cousin of the Papa Doble.

Possibly a cousin though I can't say as I've never had a Papa Doble.

I've always intended to but the odd thing is I can find many recipes but none of them agree. All contain the same ingredients but in wildly different proportions. Its really kinda nuts.
