Last night a Dickel #8 on the rocks. Tim, you're right, it does taste quite a bit better on the rocks. I usually drink my whisky neat, but this bottle will be finished with ice involved.

Also a small pour of Pappy Van Winkle Lot B. Ah, now that's much better.

The final State of Origin football game for the year is on tonight. (That's Rugby LEAGUE for all of you outside Australia, New Zealand, the north of England and France). Given that my beloved Queenslanders have already sealed the series and are going for a clean sweep, I plan on celebrating with a Davidoff Millenium Robusto paired with a Benedictine and finished off with a cheese platter which will include Stilton, Roquefort and several excellent local offerings. Happy days!!
