Whew..... finally.... I've been wanting to get to this for days!

Interestingly enough.... both the gorgeous Handmade I.M.P. Extra Large Smooth Bent Dublin Meerschaum (block) with 925K Sterling Silver collar in a custom (hand made) fitted wood case, lined with velvet, and wrapped in Burgundy Leather - and the tin of delicious smelling Squadron Leader Tobacco (made by the fine firm of Samuel Gawith & Co - who've been making fine tobaccos since 1792) were gifted to me by "special friends" and members of this forum. I've been itchin' to get this sucker pipin' - after I take post these pics, and let the tobacco I pulled out dry a bit more.... i'll be makin' out with that I.M.P. for the next few hours

Joel, that's a gorgeous pipe. My next pipe will be a meerschaum, though probably not one so gorgeous.

That's one of the nicest meeschaums I've seen. Aside from looking great and smoking cool and dry, the best thing about meers is watching them slowly darken with age. Takes years, but they get better looking over time. :thumbup1:

This evening I'm hanging out on the patio with my laptop. Here in the Carolinas its probably about 58F right now. The indulgence of the night (at least thus far ;) is a Padron 1926 cigar coupled with Eagle Rare bourbon. I highly recommend both! Hope everyone's having a great Saturday evening!

No pics, but tonight at work, we all brought in "goodies" to snack on. Someone brought RUM Cake. I mean RUM cake! I've never had rum cake with a coke chaser, but tonight, I told the boss I would not be taking any more customers. They would think I had been drinking. I don't know who made the cake, but they almost forgot to put in the cake! Tasted like 100 proof!

A pot of Charles's Jasmine from the QED site. Very tasty, but I don't know if I would get it again, a little too floral for my taste, but still a good product.

This is the last time I’m connected before preparing tonight’s meal. Sure, there will be smoked salmon, but here's what I'm really looking forward to savouring:

Foie gras, prepared by my butcher. Onion jam, prepared by my butcher. Mighty great Sauternes 1998, Pacherenc du Vic-Bihl 2004.

A Merry Christmas to all the great members of this fine forum. B&B is not about wet shaving, but about art of life and culture of well-being.
