What's new

in praise of valobra!

just used my valobra shave stick tonight for the first time....ease of lather, quality of shave, value....this thing is a winner all around...plus using the shave stick was 100% easier for me than lathering off of a puck of soap. This may convert me to face lathering....naaaaaaaaaaaa...but still this stuff rocks, cant wait to use the palmolive one i just got. who else gets funky on this stuff?

I have used a Valobra stick off and on ever since I acquired it seven years ago. In fact, it is the only stick I own. Back then, the same as now, I used it with my C&E pure badger brush; except in those days I used a Gillette Atra. Yes, I still have both the Valobra and the brush and just used the both of them just this very evening with my 1940's Gillette SuperSpeed with a BlueBird blade.

Nice shave!

Excellent value, still around and plenty remaining (1/2 stick) after all these years and has not suffered at all and gone bad - unlike some of my soft creams from lack of use! Many others have come and gone, but I doubt that I will ever go without a Valobra stick in my arsenal.

Something good to keep around.

Regards,

David

I have 2 sticks that I haven't got to it yet... I bought it because of threads like this!

there soft version is non tallow

They make AOS's soap for them

I used mine yesterday for the first time and man does it produce some mighty fine lather !!! I find that both Valobra and Speick shave sticks produce some dense creamy lather and my skin feels great after the shave. Top - quality stuff.

Luc, break one out, you'll wish you had sooner :wink2:

I did the proraso shave this morning (Proraso green cream + Proraso splash) and it was awesome.

I will tomorrow morning!

Valobra is one of the best performing soaps I've used. It has a great thick lather, mild scent that matches with any AS, and leaves your face feeling amazing.
