What's new

I'm officially an owner

Thanks to a fellow member's generous PIF, I am now the owner of this Torrey, my first straight. Now to just work up the guts to try it for the first time!

I might even try to do a little polishing...

Nice looking razor. I bet it will shine up nicely. Don't hesitate to jump in...the water is deep, but so much fun!

I have a similar-looking one. Mine has a bit of a smile. Does yours? Mine is a great shaver

I started straight razor shaving a month ago. I wouldn't go back for the world. Although I may try my hand at a DE sooner or later. For me it's a very relaxing experience because no matter how busy and crazy your day is, you can't rush the shave.

I couldn't wait. I just lathered up the sideburn area and gave it a shot. Kinda hard to get the feel for crossing over to the left side with the right hand. I'm not very ambidextrous. Seems to shave nicely though after getting a feel for the right angle.

Congratulations! I am new to this too. I don't think I will ever be able to go back to cartridges. Although I first started because I thought this might be cheaper.....hmmmm

Congrats on your first few passes! With this hurdle overcome, I wish you many happy returns. Str8 shaving takes this wetshaving hobby to a whole new dimension!
