What's new

Im having withdrawals

I just wanted to vent a tad. I have a pretty nice collection of pens that I enjoy using. Since starting my new job, I have not written with them on a regular basis in over two months. I have one esterbrook that I have filled with iron gall ink that has a stiff steel nib. This is about the only one I have that will be sufficient for me.

enjoy what you have while you have it, for it may be gone in the blink of an eye.

ONE DAY I SHALL RETURN...

P.S. and now the post office is not delivering on Saturdays. DOOM AND GLOOM

i have written almost 100% with my FP for the past couple of weeks. The only reason i have not hit 100% is that the mini monteverde converter apparently holds enough ink for a day or so of note taking and every evening i need to remember to refill it, otherwise i run out the next day. kind of painful this week as i run out and had no idea what was going on until i unscrewed the barrel. makes me want to have a converter-less FP.

I got moves like Jagger
One of my co-workers has my two FPs. I've reverted to using a mechanical pencil (but it's a Kuru-Toga!) in the interim. *sigh* I miss my Kawecos.

I'm using my B&B Essential at work right now.
It's really nice to use a fountain pen.
I hope you get to use one again soon.

I feel your pain. I have 5 FPs at work and up till a month ago I used all of them everyday. Then my job description changed and the only one that gets use is the B&B essential for signing documents. I cant even make up things to use the other ones for,it saddens me deeply!

Next month we will move to electronic time cards for our student workers. I will no longer need to sign with my Fountain Pen.

If you ever really feel the need to sign something, Lou, just sign a check and put it in an envelope. I'll PM you an address for it. You can also use a fountain pen to write the address on the envelope. It'll be great!

Sounds like you need something with a piston in it. A Pelikan, perhaps?

Haha...

I earned that custom title, and I think it would buy me a Pelikan and Montblanc.

This thread is worthless without Pictures!

perhaps, but i don't think the 800, or even a 400, is in my near future… that's just out of my price range right now ( even if the 800 is considered a great deal).

Yeah. They're really pricey. That's why my M215 is the farthest I've gone down the Pelikan road.
