Actually I think the brand is "Bugler" in a blue pouch. I used to roll my own back in the day.

Start with a MM COB for a pipe. They are great smokers, and inexpensive.

Aha! I smoked it myself lol. Got so good I could almost roll one handed drving in traffic!

Bugler makes a “pipe” tobacco. You usually see it in pound bags with smokers choice etc. it’s a course cut that is just coarse enough to be an L tax so you don’t have to pay the cigarette taxes on a bag.

I still my Dr Grabo pipe from my college days and I have several estate sale ones I cleaned and polished.

Nice looking pipes. Have you added Carter Hall to your classic 'baccy rotation? I like the pattern on the Grabow (I think that may be a Grabow) third from left. Really old school.

If you are at all interested, here's my meager collection of American made old school pipes. Top, Dad's old Yello-Bole from the '50s, the others are Dr. Grabows I've picked up in the last couple of years or so new.
