Yesterday morning I used a typical set up for my morning shave. B&B Essential shaving brush, Ralph Lauren Safari tallow shaving soap, Lotion Opaline A/S, new Iridium blade and my old stand by...my Merkur 34C HD. The HD and I've been rolling together for years. I've tried plenty of razors but always came back to the HD.
When I got home yesterday I had a package waiting for me. I got a new Edwin Jagger DE89 with the new Muhle head. It was an impluse buy while they were doing their free shipping offer. This morning I put a new Iridium in the DE89 and use the exact same shave set up.
OH MY FREAKIN' GOD! You'd think I'd never shaved properly before. The difference is astounding! Smooth as silk and it handles like a BMW on the Autobahn.
The new Muhle/Edwin Jaggers really should be the new standard for newbies to wet shaving. Move over Merkur 34C. You've been dethroned!
