What's new

If you had to choose JUST one.

I never intended for this to turn into a who's better than who thread.I am in need of a new soap and I am trying to curb my spending so I decided to buy ONE new soap. I posted this thread with the intention of looking for opinions and preferences from people who have tried the different soaps. I will try all four listed and more EVENTUALLY! I appreciate all the hard work and dedication ALL the artisan soapmakers display.
Alas, I can only afford one soap right now.

Soaps I intend to try in no particular order:

Saint Charles Shave
Prairie Creations
TGQ
MamaBear

Of these four, I've only tried SCS and I can say they are excellent shaving soaps. The Almond is one of the few soaps that actually left my face feeling somewhat moisturized after the shave.

But instead of pitting these boutique vendors against each other, I'm working toward moving out most of my other soaps and creams, and focusing on the products of these ladies who spend time with us here on B&B, and work directly with us to develop products that we ask them to develop.

1. Equal or better products
2. Lower prices
3. Personal service

What's not to love about any of them?

yeah, I think I should just try them all!:thumbup1:

+1.

I am intrigued in trying TGQ's "Sage & Blackberry" if I do wander from the den.
Sounds like a winner to me :thumbup1:

I've owned or tried three of the four: MB, SCS and TGQ. Of those I'd have to go with MB. My experience with her soaps is more extensive and I've not liked some of the scents of the other two. But all have their fans, and scent tastes vary widely, so this is really a classic YMMV situation.
