If you could only keep one?

SO I consider myself new to DE shaving, only about 6-7 months now, and recently bitten by RAD. I was just looking through a picture thread and was thinking that there are people here with advanced RAD:ohmy:
That got my mind going in a slightly different direction. For all of you people with good sized collections, if you could only keep one razor, what would it be and why?

My collection is relatively small with only 6 right now and a 7th on the way, but if I could only keep one it would be a hard choice between my first razor, a EJ89L, and my last, a 1949 Rocket. Both of these razors work for me and feel really comfortable to use. The others work too, but I feel a connection with both of these that I don't with the others. When it came right down to actually making a choice though, I would stick with the EJ because I can always get a burn free close shave with it, with any blade other then a derby or a feather. I am still learning the Rocket and it tends to bite every now and then, but when I get it right it out shaves the EJ. Given more time the Rocket my push out the EJ, but there is a new kid on the way and I still have to see what he has to say:thumbup:

Needles to say I am happy I don't have to make a choice to keep only one razor and I get the joy of picking what one I am going to use on a given day.

From the roughly 2 dozen razors in my line-up 4 have a special place;

-Mühle R41
-Mühle R89
-Lord LP1822 ('new' model)
-vintage 'Gladweg' head mounted on one of Bob's handles

Choose one? Impossible!

If I lost all 4 however it would probably be the R41 that I would buy first again. Mostly because I want at least one OC and the Gladweg (safety bar) will be hard to replace.

Only one? This one.

I would simply refuse the terms, and insist on keeping more than one. It would be possible to stick to only one type of razor, injectors, which give me the easiest and closest shaves. Even that wouldn't be ideal, though, as I have SE and DE razors that are fun to break out from time to time. Variety isn't just a matter of "AD", it's half the enjoyment of shaving.

My 1952 SuperSpeed, despite the fact that I recently used only a Merkur 34G for 5 months. Using other razors only makes me realize how much I like the SS.

The later Super Speeds and other TTO's have a lower head profile.

My Slim has a noticeably lower profile than a 40's SS. Coincidentally, the Slim would be my choice! I don't like most TTO's just because of the large heads, but the Slim's is small enough to be manageable.

The Krona also has a low profile, although it's not one of my favorites.
