wow, this thread interests me because i do like viskhods and Astra SP's, but it seems like just about every blade has been named by someone or another. a thought, would someone who's posted recommendations also post some "do not buy" warnings? it seems that someone who likes these blades is looking for a smooth sharper than average, but not ultra sharp blade, correct?

Feather (too sharp, not very smooth or long lasting)
I tried a sample treet blade and thought it was pretty nice. The rest in the list I agree with.

I like feather and can use the dorco 300.
It's fun to advise what blades to buy or skip, or compare brands, but one man's trash is so often another's treasure.

I use a Merkur 34C HD exclusively.
Polsilvers and Gillette yellows.

Polsilvers SI's are epic. Love them. I equally like the Lab Blues and get very similar shaves in that comparison, DFS+. Essentially, BBS face and BBS in every direction I shave on my neck (I avoid ATG on my neck. Bloodbath)
