What's new

If I have these, should I get those?

I have and like Fahrenheit, Grey Flannel, Hanae Mori, Habit Rouge, Burberry Brit, and GFT Sandalwood.

Are Azzaro PH, Enre Noire, Rochas Man, and Rive Gauche similar to any of the ones I have?

I think Hanae Mori and Rochas Man are comparable. Both are gourmand; HM slides toward the cookies-in-the-oven smell, while Rochas Man leans toward the coffee and chocolate. I've owned them both and got rid of Rochas Man. The others are pretty distinctive from one another, though some might say Burberry Brit and Rive Gauche share a bit of powder.

That is an interesting array of scents you wear! You have wide ranging tastes. Azzaro and Rove Gauche will most likely be safe bets. Rochas Man, maybe. It is not the same type of gourmand as Hanae Mori in my opinion. Hanae Mori is somewhat sweet, but has lots of stuff going on in it. Rochas man is almost a candy like sweet scent. Too much for me personally. Encre Noir is just one you have to try. I never recommend this one as a safe bet. I still don't know if I like it or not. It is one of a kind though....unlike any other vetiver I have tried.

I have all of those except for Encre Noire, which I've smelled quite a few times.
None are alike or similar to my nose.
Regards,
Renato

I'm not a good person to ask, as I own none of the fragrances you own (though I've tried them all several times, save for HM) but I own all of the ones you're considering.

Obviously my answer is going to be Buy them all. Full bottles. Right now.

Encre Noire and Rive Gauche will be the only ones I'll replace, though (I've even got a few backups of RG already).

Wow what an array!! I think the fact that you like such a broad array suggests that you'd likely be happy with any of the ones below. From personal experience I think Encre Noir is a must have - absolutely beautiful. I think if you enjoy Grey Flannel and Fahrenheit you'd probably like Azzaro PH (they are NOT remotely similar, but they all are in the classic realm). I have not tried Rive Gauche but I hear it has similar qualities to Azzaro PH, so maybe for the time being try one or the other (personally, and retrospectively I might have tried Rive Gauche before APH just because of the positive things I've heard). Rochas Man is a sweet chocolate gourmand - really unlike anything you've tried, it's so cheap though it might be worth trying (although, personally I'd opt for A*Men).

I also all want to add Third Man by Caron to my original to buy list. Is it similar to Hanae Mori or Habit Rouge?

Certainly not similar to HR. The citrus and powder is much more prominent in HR, which also has a nice woody drydown. 3rd Man has more focus on soft florals, herbaceous accords and a bit of sweetness.

I've only tried the EDT of HR but 3rd Man beats it by a mile.
Both quite unique, though, and both classic gentlemens fragrances.

Thanks for the clear description. Order placed :)

The answer is no. All are worth sampling to see which ones you like. Azzaro gets a lot of praise from those over 55 years of age, Encre Noire gets good reviews overall, Rive Gauche seems to be loved by all, and Rochas man is so sweet that even I find it too gourmand.

Ouch. You just aged me by more than 20 years...
