Identify this English Gillette DE

I was looking at the local Antique shops and found this nice looking razor. There is no date code on it and it appears that the handle is very light possibly aluminum, I think it weighed about 31g or 36g. All it says in Gillette and England. There was no brassing and just some scratches , light pitting on the head, and a little rust on the inside that came right off with 95% Ethanol. Click for full size photos.

There was also a box a blue gillette blades also made in Britain with D 3 on the blades. No pictures sorry.

Can anyone help me identify this razor, and tell me if my $13 was well spent?

I have one of these, its a nice fairly mild shave (maybe because its so light!).

Im not sure of the date exactly, although mine came in a 50s toiletries kit. It may have not been original with it though.

Bump. Hopefully someone can help me pin down the year, or at least the decade.
