I've recently contracted a scorching case of RAD. Today I was at a small antique dealer outside of Detroit and picked up a little travel kit for $15. The case is a pigskin Worthington Caravan Stitchless, which I haven't been able to find any information on. Inside were ten Personna blades that appear to be from the 40s based on what I've seen, and a black plastic 3 piece DE razor that I've been having a hard time pinning down. Both the handle and head pieces are the same black plastic, which may be Bakelite. It bears a strong resemblance to a Souplex Minor or Double Six, particularly in the handle, but other Souplexes I've seen have "Made in England" stamped on the head. This razor has the word "National" stamped on the head, along with the number 16 and a "1" on one of the posts. I have had no luck identifying this thing on my own. Hoping that someone here can help me out. I can't say for sure that the kit came sold as a complete package considering that all three elements came from different companies, but the kit came with original paperwork for both the case and blades and the only sign of wear on the razor is some oxidation on the screw, which I'd guess is nickel plated brass. See below for pictures.
