Ideas for a first soap?

Hey all as a DE shaver who has thus far only used creams i was looking for your thoughts and suggestions on a first soap i was looking at the Cella soap but am open to ideas any suggestions you guys?:001_smile

Mitchell's Wool Fat in the ceramic container.

A classic, a great soap and something that should be in everyone's stable... IMHO.

I really like the Cella. Lathers really well and has good lubrication. Can't go wrong with it for the price either.

Cella is a good choice.

Tabac and Arko are a few more. BTW- these recommendations are based solely on the latherability of the soaps, not the scents.

If you are looking to try some small batch, artisan soaps you might want to check out SCS.

A tip from Shavelock to Sherlock: you can't go wrong starting with Cella.

If you want to get in the soap game really cheap, in case you decide that soaps are not for you, I would recommend VDH. I am constantly pleasantly surprised at how good it is for less than 200 cents.

There's a lot of great soaps, I'd suggest Cella, Tabac or Speik. They're all great performers at a great price.

X2 for the Mitchell's Wool Fat. I've been using it a lot lately and am crazy about it. It makes a wonderful lather and I love the clean, classic scent.

I also spent a couple of years shaving with the L'Occitane Cade. Wonderful soap - if you have a store nearby, go check it out.
