Ice cream

I would like to go on record saying there is not much better than a bowl of vanilla ice cream with chunks of peaches in it. Pfish food is good but there is something about a clean vanilla and sweet firm peaches that is hard to beat.

I am a chocolate guy. Vanilla just doesn't cut it for me. I like chocolate chocolate chip the best.
Luckily Vanilla is more popular, more chocolate for me.

I love any of the Blue Bell chocolate flavors. Also, a Coke or root beer float. And, I've recently discovered (actually my 3 year old son) the Blue Bell dark chocolate mint bars are delicious and I'm not a big fan of mint.

I have been a Blue Bell fan for years, heck I've even been to the factory half a dozen times. Not sure who makes ice cream for H.E.B. but their stuff is usually really good too.

The ice cream selection in the US is subpar. I envy those who live in Europe. Even the European store brands are better than Breyer's, Edy's, and most of what we have in stores here.

I really enjoy Front Porch, despite their questionable ingredients list. It is made in North Carolina and has several "Southern" flavors, such as Nana's Banana Pudding and Sweetie Tea, which I enjoy. Häagen-Dazs and Ben & Jerry's are good as well. I also enjoy Blue Bell, especially their banana pudding ice cream. In my opinion, the best is the ice cream you get in ice cream parlors throughout Europe. The brands available in the US simply do not compare. The best I ever had was this key lime ice cream from an ice cream parlor in Prague. It had a lime zest crust on the outside.

My favourite is Breyers Mint Chocolate Chip and it is 'da Bomb'.

Hand cranked vanilla in the old wooden bucket filled with alternate layers of ice and salt. Sometimes a bit of the salt finds its way into the drum with the ice cream. By the time you have cranked it enough you are dying to try it. The bit of salt? Yummm.

Blue Bell Homemade Vanilla, mushed up with a piece of chocolate cake for me. That has been my birthday tradition for many years. Since I am not Type 2 diabetic, my bowls of ice cream are pretty much limited to once a year on my birthday.

I hate each and every one of you for mentioning ice cream!!
