I want to keep my lather warm.....

I've been using this and am very happy with it:

It's a dip chiller and it's a bit bigger than it looks and for $13 you can't go wrong. I use it for nice hot lather and when I'm done for the day I dry it out carefully (while my witchhazel is drying on my face) then spritz my razor with some isopropyl alcohol. After I'm done putting on aftershave the razor is totally dried, and I put it inside the Norpro "scuttle". The wife likes the fact that the razor is hidden away and the nice classic white finish fits in with her bathroom decor.

Someone from here at B&B reviewed it here as well:

This dip server looks nearly the same, but sells for $7.98. What an interesting idea, whichever way you look at it! I never thought of serving dip this way, and I didn't know what a shaving scuttle was until recently.

If you want a true Ghetto Scuttle, go visit your local department store, and find two bowls: one slightly larger than the other.

You can then fill the bottom bowl with hot water, and rest the other bowl on top. The heat will thus warm the bowl above containing your lather.

My bottom bowl is ceramic, but the top is plastic. I think it probably works better if they are both ceramic, as my plastic bowl floats if I overfill the bottom bowl.
