I tried cream for the first time, loved it

He can load upside down so that gravity prevents water from going into the cream.

It's very easy to load too much if it is a soft cream. You can easily burn through the product unless you have the reflexes of a surgeon.

There are some simply lovely shave creams in the market, and it's probably the best product for finding success with the 'bargain' products easily. Plenty of shave cream tubes out there for less than $10, punching far above their weight class. Easy to use for beginners and inexpensive is a great combo in my book.

I add a little cream to the brush and then hit the Williams/Arko bowl. I find the mix works better
