What's new

I picked this Parker 75 up at a yard sale when I was a kid.

I just rediscovered this pen I had stuck in a box at the back of my desk drawer when I moving... I know nothing about it, but I have established that it's a Parker 75. It says "Sterling Cap & Barrel" on the cap, and the nib has an "M" on the plastic part, and reads "Parker 14K point" on the gold part. Can anyone date if for me?

The dished tassies started around 1970 and were used until the dimpled tassie ('77?)

The flat ones were first. I do not think the nib is bent, my early 75's are a very similar shape, not quite so pronounced but they are not mediums. Remember, don't use anything abrasive on the sterling silver to try and clean it up.

Here is Lih-Tah Wong's informative site--> http://www.parker75.com/

I'm not good enough to identify year, but that is a nice pen, definetly not a cheapie. If it does not work, worth having it fixed. If you need more info there are sub forums by maker, Parker included over on http://www.fountainpennetwork.com/forum/ I have a similar model, they are probably worth in the low to mid 100 dollar range used, depending on condition.
