At this point you can dress them by rubbing stones of similar hardness together. This will smooth out the surface. It will also flatten them further in line with the Whitworth three plate lapping method by added another reference plate. Once flat they will stick together enough that the stiction is enough to support the weight of a stone. Be careful not to drop them while performing this magic trick.
