What's new

I need to hear from Calani fans.

I am contemplating an order. Someone said these balms were a bit oily. Is this the general consensus?

If I do order, I know I want Iberian Sun, but I am caught between Malabar and Dubai. Has anyone tried both? Also, while off topic, have you tried either of these fragrances in the shave soap? If so, your thoughts?

These balms are a tad oily, but generally come across as milky and you can tell it has lots of aloe also. Overall I think it's a well done balm although I did not find it particularly healing for cuts. But for dry skin it's one of the best. What this balm is about - that others do not have - is the stongly scented product - that smells different than most things on the market - and most scents are likeable.

Malabar is not as sweet as Dubai, but these two are similar. Go with Malabar if you enjoy woods more than a sweeter spice type scent. Both unique. Both impossible to appreciate until you try them.

Calani - well done artisan funky good.

Sweet is relative in this case. These are artisan and have that artisan flare of expression. I've used highland honey and oriental plum the most, and they are both very sweet. My daughters love them on me. I think they are all worth a try for the experience they provide. You'll see what I mean after you wear them a while.
