I need a good travel cream!

I need some recommendations for a good travel shave cream. I am army so.I .would prefer something that is brush less and not extremely temperamental. I used cremo the other day but it demanded too much water and was causing my straight to gum up and stick.

Any advice would be great

Kiss My Face in the tube will work brushless.

+1

that would be my suggestion also. The modern "gels" and "latherless creams" might not work with your straight as well as KMF will

As a side benefit you can use it with a brush to get mountains of lather

Forgive my ignorance but, KMF is a fairly pain free cream with little trouble?? I can get cremo to work with steamy bathroom and limitless water and time...I need the opposite of that lol

KMF works very easily for me,. I have to use a bit more of it than I do with something like AOS, but at the price I don't mind.

do you mean you're in the field?

AdP in the tube slapped on with the hands.

I've been down the brushless road in the field and barracks ... I'd rather use a wee scott brush with tabac soap than a gooey, slimey, modern brushless cream that takes a lot of water to rinse away and rinse off your face. The tabac soap with a wee scott uses less water, rinses cleaner, and provides more cushion imho.

if you're using a straight then slick is the name of the game I think.

I took the popular advice and bought two small tubes of KMF. One lime and one mint. I figure I can't go wrong with multiple options.

My father and father in law and uncle use it religiously, but they aren't wet shavers. I too was fond of the Barbasol canned goo before BBS Kirk introduced me to this addictive hobby! <laughing>

If they use Barbasol, I believe they probably are indeed wet shavers. They may not be traditional shavers, but I'm guessing they are wet shavers. (I'm also guessing the guys who only use straights must be thinking, "You DE guys aren't traditional shavers, either!")

I have not tried it, but i believe proraso do a range of brushless cream, called Cutting edge or some such. Considering how well regarded their normal cream is it may be worth a shot.
