What's new

I have a Creed Windsor situation

Have you ever had a scent ruined by someone else, maybe family, co-worker, friend, who worse it so frequently and it became "their signature" and kept you from wearing it?

I bought my bro a bottle of GIT. He only wears it on special occasions. And that's the only time I see him, so it ruins it for that event, but we are in different states so I wear it whenever else.

Yes, brother and dad decided to help themselves to my signature scent, Terre d' Hermes. Still fuming about this :cursing:

Creed Windsor. ;-)

My wife decided she loved it and wears it a few times per week. I love the scent, but could never wear it again.

A lady where I work wears Windsor (or something very similar) and wears in in large quantity. She wears a lot which is fine by me it's a great smell but it has been tagged as hers.

Reaction if I wore Windsor at work: "Schad....why do you smell like Sandra? I thought you were married you dirty dog you."

I cannot wear Windsor therefore.

Well not at work anyway. I haven't run across this yet. I consider myself lucky.

Yet another reason to not have a signature scent ;-)

You make a very interesting point. I do think that "absence makes the heart fonder" when it comes to scents. The more I stay away from something, the better it smells when I eventually come back to it.

I do like the idea though of being "known" by a certain fragrance by the people closest to me.
